Doctor Biographies

Dr. Karl Salzsieder

•    Earned Doctorate in College Veterinarian Medicine from Washington State University in 1974.
•    Extensive experience in small animal medicine.
•    Has worked in both the private and corporate sectors with ownership and management of many veterinary hospitals.
•    Current owner of YVH with special interest in the human/animal bond and the importance of pets to human health and well-being.

Dr. Don Henricksen

Opened Yelm Veterinary Hospital in 1976.
•    Doctorate from Washington State University.
•    Extensive work in the dairy industry with emphasis in bovine reproductive work.
•    Currently, special interest in small animal internal medicine

Dr. Jerry Brown

•    Doctorate from Washington State University.
•    Co-Founder of Yelm Veterinary Hospital.
•    Currently focuses primarily on small animal orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery and critical care.

Dr. Chuck Kegley

•    Doctorate from Washington State University.
•    Years of emphasis on equine medicine.
•    Current emphasis on small animal internal medicine and ultrasonography

Dr. Claire Griffin

•    Doctorate from University of Tennessee.
•    Joined our Hospital in 2007.
•    Special interest in small animal medicine and ultrasound.

Dr. Emily French

•    Doctorate from Washington State University
•    Joined our hospital in 2010
•    Special interest in Cardiology

Dr. Sylvia Nolan

•    Doctorate from Oregon State University.
•    Full time clinical experience in all aspects of general feline and canine practice.
•    Special emphasis on emergency medicine and canine reproduction.
